Global Coralition & ISLA Academy Collaboration

The strategic alliance between Isla Academy and Global Coralition focuses on both coral restoration and ocean conservation education. Isla Academy is providing space to pilot a coral nursery, where Global Coralition’s technician conducts microfragmentation and monitors coral health to eventually outplant them at Sosúa Bay, specifically at the Atabey Sculpture site. In parallel, Global Coralition is organizing educational sessions at the academy, designed to raise awareness about coral ecosystems and promote ocean conservation within the community. This partnership combines hands-on coral restoration with educational outreach, engaging students and the public in preserving marine biodiversity.
